Kanata Hondo is the protagonist

Where she sits in the story

Kanata is the person the tutorial follows into LACUNA, the virtual world named on the official world page. She carries a D-STORAGE, the deck-box device the setting uses instead of an older Digivice shape. Aliol, the navigation guide of Digimon Liberator, is described as the one who walks her through that tutorial. That is the link between this game and Liberator: same world, a guide people already know, and a new protagonist. It is not the same work as the Liberator comic or web story, and I do not merge her plot with Shoto Kazama’s.

Futre is her online friend and, in the public character notes, secretly the Digimon Gemmon, a former member of the group Di:WO. Valner Dragnogh leads Di:WO and wants Futre back. Kanata’s relationship to that group is as the friend standing next to Futre, not as a member with a published rank. Kurusu Koga is described as a Di:WO member who mentors her, with Herissmon as partner. Those relationships are why her page points at the character table instead of repeating every biography.

Partner line

The named evolution line on her side of the card pool is Tokomon, Gemmon, Liskmon, Reptilimon, Rubeusdramon. Those names appear on BD-01 and on the in-app starter SD1, together with a tamer card that uses her name. The physical deck ST-25 uses Rubeusdramon as its face and is a product you buy, not a deck the app has confirmed she starts with. Agumon as a first partner is a story note from the character record, and I do not have a card number for that Agumon inside Alysion.

Her Japanese voice is credited to Shu Uchida (内田秀) in the public cast lists that travelled with the October 2026 reports and the wiki entry. I have not seen a separate English-dub credit, so that cell stays blank. The first public appearance of the character is the Digimon Con 2025 announcement in March 2025, which is earlier than the October 2026 pre-registration.

If you searched in French for the main character, the short answer is the same: Kanata Hondo. The French page on this site repeats that answer and then returns to the full table.
